Utility Exchange - Second Round Closed
E-Synergy’s EMEGF portfolio company Utility Exchange has closed a second round of funding from Beringea.
The Derby-based company provides price comparison services for utilities, including heating and electricity, to small businesses. It was founded in 2009 with seed funding from the East Midlands Early Growth Fund and private investors, and raised a first round funding one year later from existing investors and new angels. The East Midlands Early Growth Fund made a profitable partial exit in June 2011 and retains a small minority equity stake in the company.
