Earthcare secures funding to deploy patentable disruptive technologies to revolutionize refrigeration, air conditioning and heating.

24 January 2007

Founded in 1997, Earthcare Products Limited is a fast growing company providing consultancy, selling, installing and servicing commercial cooling products to businesses and the public sector. The company enjoys unparalleled experience and intellectual property (IP) in its areas of operation and expertise, including the practical application of natural refrigerants.

An agreement with the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration in the Ukraine gives Earthcare the exclusive right to commercialise its research into low environmental impact refrigerants and associated refrigeration systems

Earthcare is delighted to announce the successful completion of funding arrangements with E-Synergy from its £30m Sustainable Technology Fund. The agreement comes at a time when the issue of sustainable technology has moved to the heart of the global economic and political agenda and pressure on the environment continues to build.

The Fund is the only Enterprise Capital Fund (ECF) focused on providing investment and business expertise to high growth companies across the UK which are seeking to develop and commercialise world-leading sustainable technology products and services. The initiative seeks to promote innovation, jobs and growth by bridging the ‘equity gap’ – the difficulty businesses have raising investments which are too small for venture capitalists.

Andrew Stevenson, chief executive of E-Synergy Ltd who joins the board of Earthcare, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for us and we are confident that Earthcare will be very successful. Sustainable cooling technology issues affect a large part of industry, from food production to supermarkets and through many stages of the supply chain. As the pressures on environmental resources increase there will be many good opportunities for Earthcare’s innovative technologies."
