Mike Bowman

Mike holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, and prior to joining E-Synergy Ltd was
an executive with GEC/ Marconi where he was responsible for a range of IT activities.
In 2002 he co-founded a company spin-out of Marconi Technology.
His role at E-Synergy Ltd is to develop and manage the Investment Readiness Programme,
and he is a Director of KeCrypt Ltd.

Kirsten is responsible for co-ordinating the Investment Readiness Programmes and corporate
events. She assists with E-Synergy’s AngelNet activities and the office administration.

Robert Cawdron

Robert manages the Nottingham office, which opened in July 2008 in response to increasing investment
activity by the East Midlands Early Growth Fund and a need to provide a more effective service to
portfolio companies. Robert is involved in all aspects of the Fund, from initial enquiries through
to completion meetings and portfolio management. He also sits on the Fund’s Investment Committee.
Robert joined the Fund after completing his MBA on a scholarship at Nottingham University Business School.
Amongst other subjects, he received the top mark of his year in the venture capital module.
Prior to this he spent 15 years as a corporate lawyer, most recently as a Partner in regional law
firms Actons and Roythornes.

Leigh is PA to one Investment Executive and three directors within the company.
She works on the Emerald Fund, the E-Synergy Early Growth Fund, the Invest Growth
and university seed corn funds and assists with general office management.

Sarah Baxter

Sarah holds her Investment Management Certificate Unit 1 and has a
degree in Management & Organisations from Lancaster University
Management School. She first joined E-Synergy in March 2006 and
currently works as Project Manager for the Company's Carbon Trust
Incubator. The incubator programme provides strategic and business
development advice to early-stage companies who demonstrate real
commercial potential and who have developed innovative carbon-saving
technologies in order to help them raise the investment needed to grow
the business.

Cheryle Hart

Cheryle is Company Secretary and brings with her more than 14 years' experience in
venture capital, having previously worked as Executive Assistant for the Head of
Media at Apax Partners. She works on E-Synergy’s Early Growth Fund, East Midlands
Early Growth Fund and Invest Growth Fund, assisting on all transactions. She deals
with the Fund administration, oversees the office operations and co-manages the
angel network group. She also works closely with E-Synergy's private investors and
portfolio.

Nick Wright

Nick holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and an Advanced Diploma in Computing
from the University of Oxford. Nick is the primary lead on the East Midlands Early Growth
Fund and is based at our Silverstone office. He has a background in technology research
and consultancy/incubation, and has also served as editor of a Sunday Times business
technology supplement. Nick’s non-executive and advisory roles include CereProc, the
leading speech synthesis company, citizen media company Scoopt.com, and GP Bullhound,
the London and California-based technology investment bank. He also spent time on the
advisory board of UnLtd Ventures, a £100m social entrepreneurship fund financed by the
National Lottery.
