Mike holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, and prior to joining E-Synergy Ltd was
an executive with GEC/ Marconi where he was responsible for a range of IT activities.
In 2002 he co-founded a company spin-out of Marconi Technology.
His role at E-Synergy Ltd is to develop and manage the Investment Readiness Programme,
and he is a Director of KeCrypt Ltd.

Nick holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and an Advanced Diploma in Computing
from the University of Oxford. Nick is the primary lead on the East Midlands Early Growth
Fund and is based at our Silverstone office. He has a background in technology research
and consultancy/incubation, and has also served as editor of a Sunday Times business
technology supplement. Nick’s non-executive and advisory roles include CereProc, the
leading speech synthesis company, citizen media company Scoopt.com, and GP Bullhound,
the London and California-based technology investment bank. He also spent time on the
advisory board of UnLtd Ventures, a £100m social entrepreneurship fund financed by the
National Lottery.

Claire Hodson

BA, MBA, IoDDip, FRSA. Claire has 25 years experience of leading and developing
entrepreneurial enterprises, predominantly in the creative industries. In the
1980s, Claire founded two award winning television production companies and went
on to establish an arts and media centre specialising in incubating start-up and
early stage arts and media businesses. Since then Claire has concentrated on
technology transfer and founding numerous university spin-out companies. Claire
has facilitated and managed the disposal of enterprises via trade sale. Claire
is a qualified company director (IoD Diploma), a member of the Licensing Executives
Society and a fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts,
Manufactures &.Commerce.
